Server Rules
(Last update - 22nd February 2009 - BF ROC Added)

Right from the offset when Viper, Jivebunny, Lost, Johnnyq, RogueGoose and Justmeme decided to start our own clan and we wanted to make it as FAIR AS POSSIBLE for everyone, so some of the more standard server rules bit the dust.
However, WE ARE STRICT ON THE RULES WE HAVE IN PLACE.
So don't break them and have some FUN !!!!

We will not kick a player for our own advantage or personal gain.
Except to make room for Admin, usually the lowest scoring player, as we do not use reserved slots

Admins will NOT abuse their privileges. Or they will lose said privileges

Admins will follow all game rules at all times.

When warning non members on our servers, you must be polite.

Server rules:-

WONKA TAG

No player will be allowed to use our WONKA tag in BF2, unless specifically instructed to do so. This is classed to be a privilege of a full Clan Member and not just a member of our website. Players using the WONKA tag without prior permission will be kicked/banned from our servers

RACIST/ABUSIVE or THREATENING BEHAVIOUR

This will not be tolerated and players will receive an instant ban, swearing is to be kept to a minimum. Any abuse towards an ADMIN will result in a permenant ban.

COMMANDERS

We DO NOT allow Fighting Commanders on the Servers.
Under NO circumstances will Cartillery (dropping vehicles on players) or Supply Crate killing be allowed.
You are allowed to defend yourself and your assets only. Commanders are not allowed to use Armoured Vehicles, Helicopters or Planes. Do Not use Artillery on UNCAP BASE (uncaptureable Base)
You may be kicked to make room for another commander if you are not doing your job properly.

TEAM KILLING

No team killing is to take place, any players who are caught team killing on purpose will receive a warning/kick/ban.
DO NOT punish for Accidental Team Kills

EXCESSIVE BUNNY HOPPING

The Rule of Excessive Bunny Hopping is where you bound around whilst being shot at until their mag is empty, then you kill them. If this is seen you will receive a kick/ban. Knife Fights and Throwing Grenades are unaffected.

BASE RAPE

This includes all locked control points i.e. Points on map that cannot be taken over, either no flag or uncap flag
No base raping will be tolerated, if a player is caught they are to be issued a warning then a kick, only spec-ops are to enter an uncap base to take out uav, scan trailer and/or artillery and must then leave in the best way possible.
No attacking planes/helicopters in uncap base. However, if it's in the AIR, it's FAIR, but give them a chance to get in the air from take off, or this will be classed as base rape.

SPAWN CAMPING/RAPING

If you are seen to be camped somewhere and just killing people that are spawning, you will be kicked/banned. Spawn Raping makes the game unfair and un-enjoyable for everyone else.

SEAT SWITCHING

We do not allow Seat Switching in Helicopters or Planes. If you need a Gunner, go pick one up and work as a team. However, all other ground vehicles are ok

C4 RAMMING

This is Allowed. We allow it because it gives the guys who are not so good in armoured vehicles a chance to take down the "tank whores".

CLAYMORE AND C4

We allow Claymores and C4 anywhere, including on flags, spawn points, etc, etc. The way we see it, the Sniper only has 2 claymores at a time and has to use them wisely.

STAT PADDING

No stat padding is to take place by any player for personal gain and anyone caught will be issued a warning then a kick/ban if they persist in doing so.

HACK/CHEATS/MACROS

No hacking or cheating is to take place, anyone who is SUSPECTED of CHEATING or HACKING will be banned and details will be taken and submitted to anti-cheat sites.
Any player suspected of using Macros will be banned. This is against EA's Rules and will not be tolerated.

MODIFYING GAME FILES

This is a Message directly sent from EA Technical Support
It was sent because of a question raised about modifying the user settings files to try and resolve the hit reg issue.
So because of this response, We, WONKA Admins, reserve the right to remove anyone suspected of using Modified Gaming Files from our servers without any prior notification.

Hello!

If you modify your game files and play online, you actually violate the terms and conditions of the game as modifying game files is considered cheating. As such, it is not allowed and illegal to change or modify the game files.

Thank you!

ANY user found to be using a Hack, Charm Skin or Scripting program, including Macros will be removed from the server and BANNED !!!

Rules may change without prior notice

Edits by Viper

Well guys there seems to have been over the last few weeks a lot of accusations regarding "bunnyhopping" ,"spawn rape" and "base rape" and other rules.

Fighting commanders on vehicles servers, was a good idea to start off with but lately seems to be being abused by some pub players and members who like there own personal uav, who use the assets available to them for their own personal gain and not that of their team.

Base rape, Karkand, the forward usmc spawn point is off limits irregardless of how many flags the mec have. You go up there you get warned, kicked, banned. All WONKA's has admin rights with permissions to warn, kick and ban if nessesary for persistant offenders, and can do so without the majority voting system.

Spawn rape, this is going to be a doozy, if approaching a flag in a squad, it is a good offensive measure for some members of the squad to camp on the spawn points to cover their teammates.
This is not spawnrape, spawnrape is when you get assholes camped outside the spawn areas with no intention of taking the flag what-so-ever. If there are 5 players in a team, ones taking the flag whilst the other 4 are covering the spawn points this is not spwanrape and the clowns who keep spawning there and getting shot when there are other spawn areas available have only themselves to blame.

Bunnyhopping. Players who run towards you jump up and down make themselves harder to hit are "bunnyhoppers", If however a player runs round a corner and someone drops 10 feet away and opens up on full auto jumps as a reaction to avoid being shot then we can class this as a "defensive bunnyhop", the same applies if your stupid enough to run round a corner into a squad who all start firing at you and you have to jump to try and reach cover or to avoid being killed to death.

The bunnyhopping rule is the hardest to interperate and the hardest to enforce and therefore hard to police.

BattleField Rules of Conduct

Players are expected to abide by the EA Online Terms and Conditions while playing on ranked Battlefield servers. You agreed to the EA Online Terms and Conditions when you established your EA Account.

The purpose of these Rules of Conduct is to illustrate how the EA Online Terms and Conditions apply when you play on ranked Battlefield servers. Multiple or critical violations of the Terms and Conditions may result in the loss of online play or stat/award reset. Violation may also result in the termination of your EA Account and the loss of anything associated with it (such as points, tokens or in-game items).

The following are examples of conduct that is not permitted by the EA Online Terms and Conditions:

You are not permitted to use offensive soldier names or clan tags. Also, you may not actively encourage other players to violate the EA Online Terms and Conditions while in-game.
You may not organize any Clans or groups that are based on, or espouse, any racist, sexist, anti-religious, anti-ethnic, anti-gay, or other hate-mongering philosophy.
You may not attempt to interfere with, hack into, or decipher any data streams or transmissions to or from EA or IGN services, or use any application or software while using the Battlefield services which are not approved by EA or IGN.
You may not exploit any bug or abuse any game system (such as the scoring or award systems) in an EA product or service. You may not intentionally use or share any bug found within any Battlefield games, real or fictitious, regardless of whether or not it grants an unfair advantage. You will not directly or indirectly communicate the existence of any such bug to any other user of EA's games or services.
Examples of abuse include, but are not limited to:
Playing on restricted kit servers (knife, shock, and pistol only)
Taking turns killing, reviving, receiving ammo, etc.
Abusing world geometry to your advantage without risk
Exploiting vehicle damage to repair indefinitely
Creating a play environment which, by definition or action, creates an inflated scoring scenario
Ranked Server Administrators:

If you are an administrator of a ranked Battlefield server (referred to below as a "Server Administrator"), you must also comply with the EA Online Terms and Conditions.

Server Administrators are in violation of the EA Online Terms and Conditions if they enforce server rules on ranked servers that prohibit or severely limit players from using any roles, kits, weapons, vehicles, or other features of the game while playing on their server. Examples of such rules that would violate the EA Online Terms and Conditions include:

Preventing players from being Commander or Squad Leaders
Preventing players from using certain vehicles such as jets, helicopters, or tanks
Running knife / pistol-only servers
Preventing players from using all commander assets (artillery, vehicle drop, UAV or scans). If using the Infantry-only server-side option, this should be clearly stated in the game's loading screen
Preventing players from using certain weapons or items (such as flash bangs or C4) or enforcing a "pistol only" or "knife only" server rule
Server Administrators may implement and enforce rules that result in minor changes to gameplay behavior or styles as long as these are clearly stated before a player starts playing on a server. These rules typically introduce minor or limited restrictions on how a certain aspect of the game can be used, but do not create or promote an environment that would allow abuse of the scoring/award system. Examples of such rules that are acceptable are:

Limiting movement of combat assets, such as Titans, Ships, Aircraft and Vehicles during game play – Disallowing all aircraft for example is not acceptable.
Disallowing repeated main base camping/attacking of bases that cannot be captured. However, in such cases, attacking the base with reasonable intent to take out assets (artillery, command outpost, or radar) are acceptable.
Limiting the use of artillery or any other single commander asset to a particular region of the map.
Server Administrators will also violate the EA Online Terms and Conditions if they (i) use offensive server names, server art or clan tags; or (ii) encourage other players to violate the EA Online Terms and Conditions while in game.

Exploit/Abuse Reports

To report players who are cheating or intentionally violating the Terms and Conditions (including scoring abuse, exploits, or map errors), use the following link: Website Link

You can also report unapproved software or applications which provide an unfair advantage or manipulate the game in a way it was not meant, to the Punkbuster staff at: -email-

In all cases, please provide as much information as possible when making reports. EA's support staff will be the final decision makers regarding investigations. Intentional submissions of misinformation or false abuse reports can be considered a violation of the EA Terms and Conditions.
